Introducing Blue Trust’s New CEO
Written by Nick Stonestreet
For the last seven years, I have been honored to serve as chief executive officer (CEO) of Blue Trust and be part of the significant growth we’ve achieved as a firm and the dedication with which we have continued to serve our clients. Now, I am privileged to announce that Brian Shepler will step into the role of CEO effective April 15.
Brian most recently served as Blue Trust’s president, chief operating officer (COO) and has been instrumental in shaping our company’s trajectory for almost 25 years. His leadership in overseeing day-to-day operations, strategic direction, and previous roles, such as chief financial officer (CFO) and EVP of client services, make him the ideal candidate for this role.
As I begin a new chapter and transition away from the CEO role at Blue Trust, I’m excited to continue my journey with the company as chairman of the board of directors and a senior equity partner. In this capacity, I’ll remain involved by speaking into strategic decisions, leading board meetings, contributing to risk and fiduciary audit committees, and offering insights during quarterly leadership strategy sessions. Additionally, I’ll continue to support our advisors in fostering strong client relations.
I’m confident that I am leaving the CEO role in capable hands with Brian, and I believe it’s the right time for this transition. I’m eager to focus on my passion for collaborating with companies that have a ministry platform.
With Brian at the helm, I have full confidence that Blue Trust will continue to thrive and as we further our mission and deliver service excellence to each of our clients. I extend my best wishes to Brian as he takes on this new role, and I look forward to witnessing our continued success under his seasoned leadership.
Sincerely,
Nick Stonestreet
