Sherry Teat is a senior private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division and partner of Blue Trust and serves her clients out of the office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses, Sherry uses her objective perspective to help clients make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. Her goal is to help those she serves focus on the things that matter most to them. Sherry and her team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to her clients’ needs.

Sherry graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte, where she earned her BS in accounting. She also earned her master’s degree in personal financial planning from Kansas State University in 2004. Sherry is a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant, holds her CPA license in the State of North Carolina, and is a Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®).

Prior to joining Blue Trust in 2001, she worked as a senior tax associate with Arthur Andersen LLP in their private client service group.

Active in her community, Sherry is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Charlotte Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). In the past, she has served on several boards, including The Master’s Program for Women and Changed Choices.

Sherry and her husband, Richard, live in Weddington, North Carolina.
