

Roger Gum is a managing director for the Private Wealth division and senior partner of Blue Trust.
As managing director, Roger oversees the day-to-day operations, growth, and expansion of the office in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to his leadership role, Roger works with individuals, families, and businesses, using his objective perspective to help them make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help clients focus on the things that matter most to them. Roger and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.
Prior to joining Blue Trust, Roger held positions in sales and strategic planning with a Fortune 500 company.
Active in his community, Roger is a frequent speaker at churches and professional organizations in the Charlotte area. In 2013 he published his first book, Financial Faithfulness: Unlocking Scripture to Avoid the Distraction of Money. A completely revised and updated version of Financial Faithfulness was released in 2022.
Roger graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in communications where he also played second base for the Wildcats.
He and his wife, Susan, live in Charlotte with their three sons. In his spare time, Roger enjoys playing competitive tennis and leading discipleship groups.
