

Erik Daniels is executive vice president and a family office advisor for the Family Office division and senior partner of Blue Trust, and he also serves as a senior private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division. Erik joined Blue Trust in 1980 and has held leadership positions since 1986, including managing director and regional director.
In his role as a family office advisor, Erik helps families intentionally design a multi-generational plan for transferring the social, spiritual, and financial capital necessary for the family to thrive. His biblical worldview and uncommon approach in the areas of financial, estate, trust, and investment planning emphasize a principle driven wealth transition that is designed to properly prepare and equip each generation.
As an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses in the Private Wealth division, Erik uses his objective perspective to help clients make wise financial decisions, live generously, and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help those he serves have the clarity and confidence to focus on the things that matter most to them. Erik and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.
Erik has earned a reputation as a popular financial speaker, bringing an informative and entertaining perspective on money management to national as well as local venues, including Promise Keepers, the Coca-Cola Company, and Southern Company. As a past member of the AICPA, Erik has been quoted in various news and business journals and has hosted radio programs focused on helping people manage their money. He speaks often to church groups, corporations, men’s gatherings, and civic groups.
An active member of the Atlanta community, Erik has served on numerous boards, including Georgia Center for Opportunity, Sheltering Grace, Working Women of America, and the NAPFA Southeast Regional Board.
Prior to joining the firm, Erik worked as a senior accountant with Blue & Co., a CPA firm based in Indianapolis and originally founded by Ron Blue. He received a BS degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree in both taxation and financial planning from Georgia State University.
Erik and his wife, Sherri, live in Marietta, Georgia. They have four children and two grandchildren.
