Chris Scotchler is a managing director for the Private Wealth division and senior partner of Blue Trust.

As managing director, Chris oversees the day-to-day operations, growth, and expansion of the office in Seattle, Washington. In addition to his leadership role, Chris works with individuals, families, and businesses, using his objective perspective to help them make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help clients focus on the things that matter most to them. Chris and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.

Prior to joining Blue Trust in 2005, Chris worked for Schwab Capital Markets, where he specialized in institutional research sales. His experience working with some of the largest institutional money managers gives him a unique perspective on the financial markets and how they impact his clients’ investment strategies.

Chris earned his BS from California State University, Chico, with an emphasis in finance and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant and a Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®).

Active in his community, Chris serves as president of the board for Renewal Ministries Northwest and attends his local church, where he serves as a trustee.

Chris lives in Bothell, Washington with his two children.
