

Nate Haynes is the head of alternative investments with Blue Trust’s Investment Strategy Group (ISG), which operates from the company’s corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia.
Nate manages the research and due diligence efforts related to private investments, integrates private investments into the broader Blue Trust investment offering, and educates advisors on our private offerings. The ISG is responsible for analyzing investment vehicles, selecting appropriate public and private investment opportunities for clients, constructing portfolio solutions along with performing ongoing due diligence of investment managers.
Before joining the ISG, Nate was a financial planner in Blue Trust’s Chicago office. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a senior financial analyst for Longtin Family Companies, where he provided financial consulting for multi-generational family businesses, 401k plan portfolio management, retirement planning, and raised capital for venture capital investments. He also worked at MB Financial Bank (now owned by Fifth Third Bank), where he was in a risk management rotational program.
Nate graduated cum laude from Wheaton College with a BA in business and economics, where he also played basketball and served as team captain.
Passionate about missions, Nate has traveled to many countries, such as China, India, and the Dominican Republic, participating in and leading mission trips where he taught basketball, college-level courses, and built churches. During his time in Chicago, he was active in his community. He volunteered with SLAM, which is part of GRIP Outreach for Youth, and served as a deacon and small group leader at his local church.
Nate and his wife, Colette, live in Hanover, New Hampshire, where they enjoy hiking and living an active lifestyle.
