Aaron Groen is a managing director for the Private Wealth division of Blue Trust.

As a managing director and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant Aaron oversees the day-to-day operations, growth, and expansion of the office in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to his leadership role, Aaron works with individuals, families, and businesses. He uses his objective perspective to help them make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. He aims to help clients focus on what matters most to them. Aaron and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.

Before joining Blue Trust in 2011, Aaron worked as the communications director for the United States House of Representatives for five years and as a public relations specialist for two years at the Pinkston Group.

Aaron earned his BA in communication studies from Bryan College where he graduated magna cum laude in 2004, and has obtained the Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) designation.

Active in the community, Aaron is an elder at his local church where he serves in many capacities, including chair of the church finance committee, discipleship group leader and Sunday school teacher. He has also developed curriculum for, and taught, studies on biblical stewardship.

Aaron and his wife, Alyssa, have two sons and two daughters and reside in the Baltimore area.
