Jon Lane is a senior financial planner for the Private Wealth division of Blue Trust and serves his clients out of the office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As an experienced financial planner to individuals, families, and businesses, Jon helps clients coordinate all elements of their financial lives in alignment with their values and goals. With prayerful planning, Jon and his team free clients to live a life of impact by reducing complexity and following a principled approach to saving, spending, and giving.

Jon previously worked as a senior financial planner at Blue Trust before joining HOPE International in 2021. He spent three years at HOPE, serving as the manager of microfinance performance analysis, where he supervised a team of analysts supporting HOPE’s microfinance operations. During that time, he also served as a financial planning consultant at an RIA and had a financial coaching business. He rejoined Blue Trust in 2024.

Jon graduated magna cum laude from Liberty University with a BS in business administration with a concentration in financial planning. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®).

Active in his community, Jon is the board treasurer and finance committee lead of UrbanPromise Latin America. He is also a youth leader at his local church. His interests include running and playing soccer. Additionally, he has a blog dedicated to covering soccer in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Jon and his wife, Marlen, live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
